PlayPen Club ’25
We are thrilled to announce Playpen Club ’25 (PC25), our first annual meetup and event, inviting all pups, furs, and allies to join us in Belfast, Northern Ireland for a weekend of open-join activities. So prepare to mark your calendars as we come together for a weekend filled with fun, connection, and celebration.
Event Details:
Belfast, Northern Ireland | 24th – 25th May 2025
DAY 1
Day-time activity: Inside the SSE Arena, you’ll find the vibrant Hollywood Bowl, featuring state-of-the-art bowling lanes that cater to both casual and competitive play. The venue also boasts an extensive arcade with a variety of games, from classic pinball machines to the latest video games. We will meet here by 14:00 on the 24th for a day of fun and philanthropy, featuring bowling and arcade games – those wanting to partake in group bowling must contact event organisers by April 24th 2025, all set against the backdrop of Belfast’s iconic Titanic Quarter, you can book or pay-for-bowling on the day but the change of a guaranteed slot is limited, that is why we’ll be booking a couple lanes in advance. The arcade takes loose change (10p, 25p, 50p and £1 coins) as such you shouldn’t need more than £25 per-person for a good few hours of enjoyment if you want to partake in that aspect.
We’re excited to share that we aspire to donate all won tickets back to the arcade, though this is optional. We’re doing this to bring joy to local children who are just a few tickets short of a prize as Hollywood Bowl is a family venue. It’s our way of giving back to the spaces we share and spreading some extra cheer along the way!
If you want to stray from the pack and explore the city or the Titanic Quarter further, there are plenty of opportunities and sights to discover. From historic landmarks to modern attractions, Belfast’s Titanic Quarter is full of character and charm, with plenty of photo opportunities. Fox (@JustPupFox) will be bringing DSLR equipment for those wanting some higher-quality shots!
Night-time activity: As the sun sets, we’ll get ready to explore Belfast’s nightlife. Our night events will be centred at the lively Maverick bar known for its iconic Drag and LGBTQ+ scenes who are happy to accommodate the pups, furs and allies of the space, followed by an unforgettable experience at the local adult-club BuBu for to those who wish to find an ecstatic time.
Maverick bar does feature security on-site but they are not responsible for what happens outside their walls, you are responsible for your own behaviours while on the premises. We know you will, but we ask none the less, that you show appreciation to the location, staff and security who are providing a safe zone for us. In this we also ask you seek consent-first before giving pets and pats to any pups or furs, remember; consent is cool.
DAY 2
Day-time activity: Back at the SSE Arena, you’ll find the thrilling Lost City Adventure Golf, an immersive mini-golf experience set amidst lush, tropical landscaping and captivating themed obstacles. The venue features two exciting 18-hole courses that are perfect for both casual players and avid mini-golf enthusiasts. Additionally, Lost City Adventure Golf offers a vibrant atmosphere with a variety of interactive elements that make for a fun and memorable experience.
We’ll be meeting here by 14:00 on the 25th for some rounds of in-door adventure golf. To ensure everyone gets to play, we’ll be reserving a few tee’s in advance. If you wish to join a group of players, please contact the event organizers by April 24th, 2025. Booking or paying for your round of mini-golf on the day is also an option, but availability may be limited, so early reservation is encouraged – depending on the turn out you will be assigned into small duo’s or groups to help the activity go smoothly.
The mini-golf costs £8 per person for a round, and we recommend bringing extra change for any additional activities or snacks that you may want to take part in. We’re thrilled to announce that, as part of our commitment to giving back, we plan to donate all won ‘balls’ if any back to Lost City Adventure Golf. This initiative is optional but encouraged, as it helps provide local children with a free-round on their next time to the Lost City. It’s another way of spreading a little extra cheer and contributing to the joy of the communities around us as we go about or day.
Night-time activity: Returning to the ever lovely Belfast nightlife. We’ll make our second appearance at Maverick bar akin to the first-night as they’re more than willing to accommodate our communities!
For your convenience, we recommend these local hotels that are well-suited to stay at for the event as they offer a quick-approach to the day and night activities as well as a safe and low-cost place to stay with great views:
